The M6 Motorway runs past Walsall and is the major road route to Walsall. There are three nearby junctions on the M6 motorway: J7, J9 and J10 that serve Walsall (Junction 8 is the on/off feed for the M5 Motorway). Please note even with the M6 Toll Road the stretch between these junctions of the M6 Motorway is one of the busiest roads in Europe and is best avoided at Peak Times!

Junction 10 of the M6 Motorway serves Walsall Town Centre, the Manor Hospital and the Northern Districts.

Junction 9 of the M6 Motorway serves Walsall South West including the Bescot Stadium.

Junction 7 of the M6 Motorway serves Walsall South and East, although if you are travelling from the North it is better to come off at either Junction 10 or Junction 9 and follow the Ring Road.

Walsall is served by the A34 Birmingham Road which runs into Walsall joining the A4148 Broadway Ringroad, the A454 which runs from Wolverhampton joining the A4148 Pleck Ringroad to the North West and the M6 running to the South and West of Walsall.

Travelling from the South-West of England is via the M5 Motorway which joins the M6 at Junction 8 just south of Walsall and has both Northbound and Southbound feeds for the M6.

From the South two major routes exist:

1/ Head North on the M40 to where it becomes the M42, heading North again coming off at Junction 7 where the M42 joins the M6 at Junction 4. Please Note: Depending on traffic conditions there is also the option to head West on the M40/M42 to join the M5 near Bromsgrove, turning North to join the M6 at Junction 8.

2/ Head North on the M1 to Junction 19 which is the start of the M6 Motorway

From Central Wales via the M54 which joins the M6 at Junction 11. The M54 is a short motorway which follows part of the A5 (Watling Street) probably one of the most famous roads in the UK

From South Wales via the M50 which joins the M5 at Junction 8

From the East via the A14 which joins the start of the M6 or via the A47 skipping round Leicester to join the M69 heading south to join the M6 at Junction 2

From the North East head south down the M1 coming off at Junction 23a via the A42/M42 leaving the M42 at Junction 8 joining the M6 at Junction 4a

From the North West head south down the M6 where Junctions J10, J9 and J7 serve Walsall
